Rachel's Mystery Dishcloth Knit Along ~ Day 1

Materials:
.
1 Ball Worsted Weight Cotton
(I'm using Bernat Handicrafter Cotton ~ Tavern Green)
Size US 5 or US 6 (3.75mm or 4mm) knitting needles
.
**Note: The needle size is really up to you, but if you are a loose knitter, I would strongly suggest a smaller needle size for you so your stitches really "POP" out better! When you knit loose, the "picture" stitches sometimes get lost with the background stitches...remember...the tighter you knit, the better...so if you're not a tight knitter, try changing the size of your needles...let your needles do all the work for you :o)

Cast on 49sts.

Row 1: (k1, p1) across row to last st., k1.

Row 2: (k1, p1) across row to last st., k1.

Row 3: (k1, p1) across row to last st., k1.

I have designed this month's group knit along with a Spring theme to it! I will be posting the daily rows here on my blog as well as in Rachel's Knitting Room.

When Will it Start:

What Will You Need:

March 2010 Mystery Dishcloth Knit Along

Monday, March 15, 2010 ~ Day 1 ~ Rows 1 to 6

Today's Instructions:
----------------------------------------------

Materials Needed:

Worsted weight cotton yarn
US size 8 knitting needles
Cable needle
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Stitches Used:

k = knit
p = purl
yo = yarn over
sl 1 = slip 1 stitch purlwise from left needle to right
k2 tog = knit 2 stitches together
psso = pass slipped stitch over
sk2p = slip 1, knit 2 stitches together, pass slipped stitch over
C6B = slip three stitches to cable needle (CN) and hold to back. K3, then K3 from CN
