Love that yarn! I will have to pick some up on my next yarn shopping adventure!
:o)
RachRachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14192672661417877521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529414.post-19439886721978056052007-08-27T15:45:00.000-04:002007-08-27T15:45:00.000-04:00I love the way the "two-way" cloth looks with "st...I love the way the "two-way" cloth looks with "stripes"! I just got myself the whole collection and I think I am going to give it a try.

I also have designed a baby blanket using "feather and fan" stitch and Baby Cloud yarn. It is called the "Fluffy Baby Blanket"

http://tricotine.typepad.com/weblog/2006/05/fluffy_baby_bla.html

It can also be found in the left side bar in my blog, under "Free Designs".

I love the Feather and Fan stith too! :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529414.post-80249108094287898282007-08-25T07:46:00.000-04:002007-08-25T07:46:00.000-04:00Hello Wendy! With the self~striping yarn, you don't...Hello Wendy!
With the self~striping yarn, you don't have to worry about when to start the next row...all I do with it, is start my "cast on" stitches with the start of a full colour...for some reason, they only give you a little bit of a colour at the beginning of the ball, so I just scooch up to the next colour, and that's it...it changes colour all on it's own. That's the fun of knitting with them...no need to fuss, just knit...and even if it doesn't start changing colour at the beginning of the next row, it's hardly noticible if it starts changing in the middle. I hope this helps you out some...I say just go for it...have fun with it!
:o)
RachRachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14192672661417877521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529414.post-89285690894386944002007-08-24T14:12:00.000-04:002007-08-24T14:12:00.000-04:00Question from a novice: Rachel, with self striping...Question from a novice: Rachel, with self striping yarns, how do you know when to start the next row? Do you have to calculate it into your pattern? Or do you just look to see when the color changes on the yarn and then start a new row? As always, your projects are stunning!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05067537950652539027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529414.post-6824622788629940312007-08-21T08:28:00.000-04:002007-08-21T08:28:00.000-04:00Thank you so much Chie!I am a HUGE fan of the work...Thank you so much Chie!
I am a HUGE fan of the work you do...you do wonderful stuff!
